Mechanical Engineer/Designer

Opportunity:

Job Description:

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Mechanical design for new and existing equipment
  • Create mechanical and pneumatic drawings
  • Communicate with suppliers as required
  • Trouble shoot mechanical aspects of new equipment, identify and fix problems
  • Test new equipment to make sure it performs according to specifications.
  • Evaluate machine functioning and propose improvements as required.
  • Analyze customer requirements and specifications
  • Support customers (phone, and in person) on the operation and troubleshooting of equipment
  • Travel to customer sites to assess, setup or train on equipment, when necessary
  • Solve and facilitate customer service issues as they arise
  • Man the booth at trade shows when required
  • Perform duties related to special project as required
  • Develop equipment technical documentation package.

Qualifications:
  • DEC (mechanical) minimum education, Mechanical Engineering Bachelor degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 Years experience in mechanical machine design
  • Must have minimum 3 years working experience with Autodesk inventor drawing software
  • Mechanical/pneumatic and electrical aptitudes are necessary
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Meticulous and detail oriented
  • Able to work with little guidance, alone as well as in a team
  • Shows initiative and drive
  • Willing to learn and grow with the company
  • Fluent in English and French, written and spoken
  • Good communicator
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, Power Point and MS Outlook Mandatory
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical line packaging or related equipment is an asset





Business Development Manager
(for territories in the United States and Canada)

Job Description:

Servicing of existing accounts
  • Visits existing customers on a regular basis
  • Solves and facilitates customer service issues as they arise
  • Obtains regular information about ongoing and future projects
  • Keeps track of opportunities and barriers as they arise
  • Ensures follow ups where required
  • Provides technical assistance when required
  • Assists in the preparation of RFQ’s
  • Assists in the collection of outstanding accounts when required

Business development

  • Calls directly on pharmaceuticals and related industries
  • Identifies and confirms potential customers and decision makers
  • Participates in sales and marketing debriefing and brainstorming meetings
  • Organizes and participates in tradeshow exhibits
  • Negotiates contracts
  • Handles special projects as assigned
  • Cultivates and maintains a professional and positive image at all times

Planning

  • Develops an annual Action Plan, including a quarterly sales call schedule
  • Develops sales objectives for existing and potential accounts
  • Develops an annual expense budget for solicitation activities

Reporting

  • Submits a regular pre-call schedule of accounts to be visited
  • Obtains crucial market information on competitive activity and market conditions duringcustomer visits
  • Submits a brief call report subsequent to a sales call
  • Updates customer profile sheets on a regular basis
  • Contributes to the update of product bulletins where required

    Electrical Automation Designer/ Technician

    Job Description:

    • Design complete electrical controls for new equipment
    • PLC and HMI programming
    • Create electrical drawings
    • Machine wiring
    • Trouble shoot equipment, identify and fix problems
    • Test equipment to make sure it performs according to specifications.
    • Evaluate machine functioning and propose improvements as required.
    • Analyze customer requirements and specifications
    • Support customers (phone, and in person) on the operation and troubleshooting of equipment
    • Travel to customer sites to setup and repair equipment
    • Solve and facilitate customer service issues as they arise
    • Answer customers’ telephone calls and email messages in order to offer them the necessary support for product and service related questions and requests
    • Document all pertinent information related to technical support in Act! Database
    • Set-up and disassemble trade show displays at convention centres
    • Perform duties related to special project as required


    Qualifications:

      • DEC (mechanical/electrical) minimum education/ Vocational or technical training
      • Mechanical and electrical aptitudes are necessary
      • Ability to read engineering drawings
      • 5 Years experience in programming PLC’s and HMI’s
      • Meticulous and detail oriented
      • Able to work with little guidance alone as well as in a team
      • Shows initiative and drive
      • Willing to learn and grow with the company
      • Fluent in English, good working knowledge of French
      • Good communicator
      • Knowledge of electrical drawing software
      • Knowledge of pharmaceutical line packaging or related equipment is an asset
      • Good knowledge of MS Office, Power Point and MS Outlook is an asset



      Assembly and Service Technicians
