Special Environments
Cleanroom, washdown, hazardous and controlled-atmosphere builds.
An established track record building packaging machines for environments with ISO clean room classification, ATEX, or Class 1 / Div 1 requirements, where controlling particulate or preventing sources of ignition is the whole problem.
When a special build is required to fit your room classification, whether ISO 5 or Class 100, we have compliant equipment that has been in operation for years. We understand what that means for mechanical design, pneumatics and controls, and we have a range of machines built compliant to certain clean room ratings as standard.
Where flammable product is packaged, equipment has to meet either ATEX or hazardous location classification. We understand the requirements and have developed standardized kits to render equipment compliant.
- Reduced generation of particulates
- Single port filtered compressed air exhaust
- Laminar flow HEPA filtration units
- Elimination of sources of spark or ignition
- Purged electrical enclosures
- Intrinsically designed controls
Spline chucks

To prevent shedding from the rubber material used in capping chucks, one solution is a spline chuck: ridges on the chuck match those on the cap. A stainless steel spline chuck will not wear and will not shed, which makes it well suited to clean rooms, especially where high application torques are needed to prevent leaks.
